Clinical Assignments/Schedule

The rotation schedules and clinic schedule templates are as follows.  When a resident is on vacation or absent, other residents may need to be shifted to cover clinics according to patient load.  The Program Coordinator and Chief Resident(s) create the monthly assignments and on-call duties with oversight by the Program Director.  The Chief Resident(s), the residency Program Coordinator, and the Program Director must approve any schedule changes.  A resident should not make any plans based on a schedule request until it is appropriately approved.  The Chief Resident(s) is the individual that all residents must first communicate with regarding schedule changes.

First year resident:

Mohs—1 month

Peds—2 months

Dermpath—2 months

Gen Derm/float—7 months

Second year resident:

Consults/Academic—1 ½ months

Mohs—2 months

Dermpath—1 month

Cosmetics—1 month

Peds—2 months

Gen Derm/float—4 ½ months

Third year resident:

Consults/Academic—1 ½ months

Mohs—1 month

Dermpath—1 month

Cosmetics—2 months

Peds—1 month

Gen Derm/float—5 ½ months
