Event Reporting for SSM Hospitals and Outpatient Facilities

The ACGME requires that residents and faculty are educated on how to report safety events and do so when these occur.

To report an event at an SSM Hospital: see APPENDIX Z for procedure.

In the event that a resident has a needlestick, wash the area with soap and water & follow the needlestick protocol (APPENDIX U)
