Record of Evaluation

The program director and faculty are responsible for apprising each resident of the

assessment of his/her performance and to maintain a record of the evaluations for each

resident. This record is accessible to the resident. The resident is expected to cosign

each evaluation to indicate that he/she has received it and discussed it with his/her

program director. Concerns about unsatisfactory performance are communicated in writing to the resident as soon as possible during the academic year with suggestions for improvement. The resident is provided an opportunity to present his/her side of the issue.
