Holidays

Holidays are based on the SSM holiday schedule.  No holiday plans should be committed to until the SSM schedule is available.  The clinics are closed during official SSM holidays and the residents will have no clinical assignments.  The first year residents will cover the consultation patients on holidays and will be supervised by one of the third year residents on back-up call.  The holidays will be divided equally among the first year residents and assigned by the Chief Resident.  Additional days off during the winter holidays will be provided as possible pending holiday schedule and clinic/department needs.  This will be decided on a yearly basis.

The following holidays are observed SSM-SLUCare Holidays. These are subject to change:

• New Year’s Day
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day
