Resident Surgery Clinic

Resident surgery clinics are scheduled each Thursday of the month.  The Chief Resident determines which residents participate in which surgery clinic.  The resident performing the surgery should review the planned surgery with the attending assigned to the scheduled surgery prior to the surgery day.  If the assigned attending is a volunteer faculty member, the planned surgery should be reviewed with the Mohs fellow or a full-time faculty member. The resident will also follow up on the excision results and communicate them to the patient.  Residents will be responsible for scheduling patients for their own surgery times, and these times will be logged on the central schedule and communicated with the patient care coordinators.
